The Set Free ministry is proud to introduce its latest resource—a handbook for inmates and their families. The information in this 285-page book will encourage, inspire, and equip the hurting. The practical advice and planning tips will help inmates navigate the journey and prepare for a better future—and it will help families understand what to expect and have hope.
Written by a former pastor, community leader, case manager, and inmate, this book provides practical advice, recommendations, and includes contact information for dozens of programs and businesses that desire to help.
Our mission is to equip and support the incarcerated and their families as they move through this difficult time. We want to help the hurting find hope, faith, and develop new goals to ensure a better future. We seek to accomplish this by providing practical resources in prison (such as this book), establishing in-prison, lay-led support groups, and by referring individuals to services and programs designed to support a successful reentry into the community.

A STUDY ON BIBLE PROPHECY

The goal in writing the STORY OF JESUS is to provide a resource that makes reading Scripture more enjoyable and understandable. The Story of Jesus resource is not designed to replace the Bible, it is designed to be an aid in reading and understanding the Bible. WHY AND HOW TO TEACH ON PROPHECY AND ESCHATOLOGY
Teachers and pastors are commanded to watch for the signs that announce the return of the King, and boldly communicate (by teaching the whole of Scripture) what God is doing and what God will do in the future. I believe this is where the church falls short today. Many watchmen, particularly in the west, report that strong, clear teaching on eschatology is not a prominent part of the teaching or preaching ministries in their home church. This booklet is designed to exhort and encourage—it addresses the mandate to ready listeners for the Rapture and return of Jesus, and notes both why this is not done, and how to do it. Approximately one third of the Bible addresses the topics of prophecy or eschatology. Yet, many, many churches do not thoroughly address these subjects. Though there are challenges associated with preaching on certain passages, the calling is clear. Paul said, “For I did not shrink back from declaring to you the whole will of God. Keep watch over yourselves and the entire flock of which the Holy Spirit
has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood…” (Acts 20:27-28)
Teachers and preachers must be watchers and warners and must not neglect to proclaim the fullness of God’s Word. This brief book provides insight regarding why and how to teach in a way that honors God.

WHAT WILL THE POST-RAPTURE WORLD LOOK LIKE?
This booklet was written to express, in a very condensed format, what I have learned about leading in ministry after serving in pastoral roles for more than 30 years. By design, the writing in this booklet is more informal than scholarly. The hope is that it will read as a friend counseling a friend—or as an older minister who’s been around the block, counseling newer believers who are young in the process of exploring God’s leading regarding Christian service. Sensing that the Lord’s return is near, I prepared this booklet as a resource for those who are not taken in the Rapture and find themselves living in a Post-Rapture Tribulation-era world. Will God be present during this dark period of history? Will there be a Church? Will God be looking for individuals to teach, preach, and engage in Christian service? I believe the answers to all these questions is YES! But things will be very different than before the Rapture. My prayer is that this booklet will encourage, equip, and embolden individuals as they consider how God may want to use them to do great things in this important time in history.

DISPENSATIONALISM
Dispensationalism is a newer term that has ancient roots. In the 19th and 20th centuries, ministry leaders and scholars grouped and refined proven precepts for interpreting Scripture and thereby formalized the hermeneutic system known as dispensationalism.
Dispensationalism is neither new nor radical. It is built on the belief that the Bible is true, prophecy should be interpreted literally, there will be a Rapture and millennial
reign of Christ, the events profiled In the book of Revelation are yet future, and God has a plan for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people in the last days.
More than a collection of theological perspectives, dispensationalism offers a lens through which Scripture can be viewed in its full context and properly interpreted.
Practical examples of employing dispensational study precepts (which for many decades have been taught at Moody Bible Institute and Dallas Baptist Theological Seminary) are included in this writing.
